Plugged In Headphones But Sound From Speakers On IphoneWhen I plug in headphones, my speakers mute, but nothing comes from the headphones. Also, there is a weird red light coming from my headphone jack. I am on a Macbook from late 2007, and have Ubuntu. Headphones plugged in but sound still comes out of computer speakers. It seems like the audio sound is split rather than channelling the output sound to the head phone. I got my PC in 2014 and it didnt have this issue at that time. However, after an OS upgrade from Windows 8 to 10, I noticed this issue. I have tried troubleshooting but no positive result. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. The sound still comes out of the speakers when I plug in headphones. If I click on the speaker icon to mute it and then unmute it, then the sound only comes out of the headphones as intended. I couldn't find any setting that would disable the speakers if headphones are plugged in. How can the answer be improved? When I make a call over Skype with my headphone plugged in, the call's sound goes through this headphone. But the weird thing is that if I open an audio file at the same time, the audio's sound will goes through the speaker. So I have tried to: Change Windows default playback device to Independent headphones: Nothing happened. The sound still comes out of the speakers when I plug in headphones. If I click on the speaker icon to mute it and then unmute it, then the sound only comes out of the headphones as intended. I couldn't find any setting that would disable the speakers if headphones are plugged in. The driver I have for the VIA Audio Deck is current. ![]() Plugged In Headphones But Sound From Speakers ReviewsComputer Type: PC/DesktopSystem Manufacturer/Model Number: Custom BuiltOS: Win 10 19H1 64 BitCPU: Intel i7 960 @3.20 GhzMotherboard: MSI-58x-EMemory: 24Gb CorsairGraphics Card: EVGA GTX 1660 TiSound Card: on boardMonitor(s) Displays: LG Flatron E2341 23 InchScreen Resolution: 1920 x1080Keyboard: Corsair K63 WirelessMouse: Corsair Dark Core WirelessPSU: 850 WatttCase: Haf 912Cooling: Corsair H75Hard Drives: Two-1TB Samsung SSD EVO'sInternet Speed: 350 down 50 upBrowser: Firefox 66 BETAAntivirus: Windows DefenderOther Info: Plain stereo sound system withCyberpower CP1350AVRLCD -UPS.
