Magic Mouse Utilities is a software program made by Trackpad Magic that may help get the scrolling function working with your PC if you’re having trouble. Hey Y'all.I'm very interested in buying the apple magic trackpad to compliment the apple keyboard that I currently use on my windows 10 computer. I have been using this keyboard for years with my ipad and windows 7 PC. I have seen new inventions that connect the keyboard and the trackpad together to allow the user to browse the web from the couch. I would really like to do this but I am still not sure if I can get the trackpad to even work with my computer in the first place. Does anyone know if apple will ever officially launch drivers for windows computers to fully support the trackpad itself? Queen of the ring battle. Apple hands down has the best trackpad on any computer/laptop and I finally want to get my hands on one to use for myself. Most people tell me just to get a mac but that another discussion completely. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has figured out how to get past using the trackpad for the simple point and click features outside of 2 finger scrolling. With gesture support added in Windows 10 I am anxious to see if Apple will finally give the windows people what they want. I mean, I don't see why they wouldn't. I am a Microsoft supporter that wants to use something from Apple. They should be happy that people like me exist and want to purchase products from their company. I don't know, maybe that's bad marketing but what do I know, I'm just willing to throw my money at them if they can suit my needs for my windows 10 computer. Let me know if any of y'all know of drivers that can support gesture support on the trackpad. I am really excited to buy this product but only if I can get past the simple mouse input. Thanks in advance,DiscardedFoot. Welcome to the Dark Side (depending on your perspective). П˜x81The basic functionality of the Trackpad is available in Windows and OS X. Mount and blade warband pw. Esoteric gesturing and OS X specific functions do not cross over very easily though. The newer Magic Keyboard 2/Magic Mouse 2 (does this show a lack of innovation for product naming?) require BT 4.x and will be better off with newer machines from either side of The Great Divide.Usually, Apple has a 14-day trial policy, based on your location. At least the US has it. You should try the devices and return within this window, if you do not like them. It's not magic — it does no more or less than you'd expect it to. Oct 2, 2016 - The Apple Magic Pad doesn't work out of the box on Windows. TrackPad Magic's drivers may cost $9.40 but are well worth it to give trackpad. If Apple's Magic Trackpad appeals to you but you're a Windows user, you can still take advantage of the multi-touch device on your Windows machine by using extracted Boot Camp drivers. Redesigned and rechargeable, Magic Trackpad 2 includes a built-in battery and brings Force Touch to the desktop for the first time. Four force sensors underneath the trackpad surface allow you to click anywhere, and detect subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply, bringing increased functionality to your fingertips and enabling a deeper connection to your content. When building my latest HTPC, I decided that I would want to use the Apple Magic Trackpad as the mouse. The Magic Trackpad is small, stylish and works well as a pointing device to navigate HTPC menus. Personally, I use a Macbook Air 11″ daily so I am accustomed to using the trackpad and thought it would be a great addition. Apple’s lack of Blu-ray support turned me off of the Mac Mini idea and pushed me to build a Windows 7 HTPC, but I still wanted to use a nice trackpad. This guide will show you how to setup the Bluetooth Apple Magic Trackpad on a Windows 7 PC and get things like gesture-based scrolling working. Be warned, this is ever so slightly more involved than installing a normal mouse on a Windows PC. Test ConfigurationToday I am using a new test system based on an Intel Core i7-3770K with the enhanced Ivy Bridge GPU and the which is a small form factor motherboard, very popular with users looking for a powerhouse Z77 HTPC. I am going to be featuring the setup in a few reviews and decided to make this my first. CPU(s): and Intel Core i7-2600K. Motherboard:. Memory: 8GB (2x 4GB). Drives:,. Chassis. I do want to point out that since I want this to be a bit more generally applicable than to just those with the ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe, I decided to use a Medialink USB Bluetooth 4.0 adapter. This can be applied to just about any PC out there, and as a bonus is one of the best adapters for compatibility with Windows 7. For $20 is is on the pricier side, but it has consistently good reviews and I really do not like worrying about compatibility. I think all you actually need for this to work is a Bluetooth 2.1 EDR transceiver but for $20, I decided to just get a Bluetooth 4.0 device. Once the Bluetooth stack is installed, the next step is to get an Apple Magic Trackpad for Windows 7 driver. There is good news and bad news on this front. The bad news is that the driver is not as simple to get to as many other drivers out there. This is not going to be similar to installing a Logitech mouse for example. The good news is that there is no need to hack a driver, go to a site of ill repute or something like that. Instead, one can simply go to then search for the appropriate Boot Camp update for the version of Windows they are using, for most this will be: Boot Camp Software Update 3.2 for Windows 64 bit and for others this will be Boot Camp Software Update 3.2 for Windows 32 bit. Note, there is a v3.3 of the Boot Camp update out there, but I had an issue using this with an older setup and v3.2 works fine. With the drivers installed, there are a few limitations to the Apple Magic Trackpad versus some other wireless trackpads. Bootcamp Trackpad Driver Windows 10First and foremost, not all of the gestures we are used to in Apple OS X are available in Windows 7. You can right click, left click, two finger right click and two finger scroll up/ down but other gestures are not available. One other major disadvantage I see with the Apple Wireless trackpad over a conventional trackpad is that the batteries cannot be recharged easily. For all of Apple’s industrial design prowess, it seems odd that there is not a small magnetic charging station like the (I want to try one of these.) I have been using this setup for a few weeks now and am still on my first battery, so this is not a daily recharge proposition, but it is something to think about. With all that said, I have very much been enjoying the Apple Magic Trackpad with my Windows HTPC. For those having trouble with getting the driver:Search “Magic Trackpad Control Panel” There is a download there that will automatically extract and install the driver. For those who cant pair:I was having issues pairing, getting errors, the pad blinking then turning off etc. Use Magic Trackpad On PcI managed to get it to pair after holding the power button on the pad down for a few second until the light turned off (fully power down), then a short press to turn it back on. It showed up in my BT manager and I clicked it and told it to pair, this is where it usually fails. While it was setting up/ pairing, I short pressed the power button again and it fully paired. Hopefully this helps someone!
